INITIAL CONCEPT MEETING
The first step of our building process is a meeting between the builder, designer and client. Here we discuss your wants, your budget and to make allowances for any future variations. Concept drawings are created here to suit you and are put in place.
PLANNING APPROVAL
Our building process also involves lodging drawings with the Local Council. It’s crucial these are detailed and fit the scope of the Council’s plan to allow the process to run as smoothly as possible. We also deal with the Council directly to keep updated of the status of your application.
WORKING DRAWINGS
After the concept has been approved by the Local Council, the plans are converted into working drawings. These are completed with your finishes and specifications, so a price can be agreed between you and the builder. Every client has different desires, so you will assist in this important step in the building process, ensuring your home is designed exactly the way you want it to be.
DOCUMENTATION
Once the design concept and selections have been finalised, a cost of the project is achieved. Allowances are always made for variations to the contract in this part of our building process so there are no hidden surprises for you. Drawings are then submitted to the Local Authority for the Building License Approval. Once approval has been received, your project is ready to start.
